IFFS 2007 News
The IFFS 2007 World Fertility and Sterility Congress was held at the ICC Durban between 29th April and 3rd May 2007 and was hosted by the Southern African Society of Reproductive Science and Surgery.
It was a great success in that the scientific programme was rated as superb with many of the world's leading experts delivering addresses in the 4 plenaries and 19 trilogies.
Over 1700 people attended the Congress and they participated in the 7 workshops, the excellent scientific lectures, the opening ceremony and beach party enjoyed the many pre and post tours that were arranged.
20 Delegates were sponsored from Africa and they were afforded the opportunity to meet and network with the world's finest specialists.
The President's and Speakers Dinner were held on Tuesday evening and was well attended by the Executive and local organising committees as well as the trilogy and plenary speakers.
Pieter-Dirk Uys presented a keynote address entitled "For Facts Sake" on Tuesday and this was one of the highlight of the Congress. It is still being talked about.
The committee is to be congratulated for their hard work over 6 years and for making this one of the best IFFS Congresses ever.
